I have a really nice 97 F250HD thats out to be painted right now. It has the factory bench seat in it, in excellent shape, but want to swap to buckets because, mainly, I am 6ft 2, and the seat is so firm that it barely gives when I sit in it, and, at 250#, that means my head is nearly rubbing the headliner. I just sold my 87 that had a 95-ish set of 40/20/40 seats in it, and it put the seating position much lower in the cab. I want something like that, but its nearly impossible to find a set for a regular cab. I bought the setup out of an extended cab, but then discovered the mounts were different than the reg cab. I've seen pics online of people putting later model seats in these. I don't care if its buckets or a split bench, I just want to sit lower in the cab. Any ideas?

Might have to make some different mounts for it to work, I will check around and see if I can find any help

They’re not cheap, but the Qualitex 40/20/40 seats are great. I’m 6’2”, 260, and put a set in my 94 Chevy for the same reasons 15 years ago. They mount onto your existing seat frame and the two seats move and recline independently. My next door neighbor bought it from me and the seats still look and work great.
The easiest route to go is using the factory bracket/tray for mounting bucket seats. While they are easy to use, they are tough to find. There's a couple on eBay right now, but only as part of a set of bucket seats. I hate using eBay links since they're short-lived, but here it is... https://www.ebay.com/itm/18776728708...temCondition=4
