2020 SD XLT Supercab The drivers door isn't latched tight so when I go over bumps the door rattles. The screws holding the black loop are boogered up so I got a brand new T40 Torx bit and a 15" breaker and couldn't budge any of the screws. Now I know why the screw heads are messed up. My next step is an impact but I'm considering just bringing it to my local body shop. I am guessing red loctite but maybe somebody just leaned on them with an impact and tightened the heck out of them Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do about it?
Thanks,
R.
You are correct on the screws having locktite on them. Careful use of a propane torch applied to the screw will soften the locktite bond and the screw can be removed.
Does anyone have a part number for the screws? The old ones are toast..
Can the door rattle be fixed by moving the black loop or is it more involved? Either way I'm letting the bodyshop do the work as no way I'm going s
after my truck with a torch.
But if the front door needs to come apart I'll upgrade those door speakers at the same time.

The two nearest Ford dealers didn’t stock the striker or the screws so I ordered online. Price with shipping was within a few bucks of the dealer cost, less than $40. Body shop is talking about trying to do the job by manipulating hinges. We’ll see. I don’t like seeing the worn striker and messed up screws.

You need to install the updated Ford strikers on the 2023+ Trucks. They have a thicker bar. I actually used GM strikers off a Silverado on my 2017 to quiet down the rattle over bumps. Did an amazing job.
