instrument cluster question?
Hey everybody, I have a 92 F250 that had an instrument cluster without tachometer. So I bought one that was from a 92 that I was told. but when it got to me, it seems I was sold one falsely. everything is from a 92 but the tachometer and the red connecting plate film was from a 94 to except for the speedometer and the gauges and etc. So when I went to fire it up, everything worked other than my coolant gauge, but everything else ran good. But my tachometer didn’t go on and so I revved it and it slowly went up to 2000 and then after idling for a little bit, it went up to 5000 and then dropped down to six and stayed (no change in idle speed). So my question is, will this all work together or am I screwed? because that the 94 tac and from what I’m told isn’t the same wiring as 92s.
