i recently had to take my truck into the shop b/c one of my exhaust pipes fell off. pretty much everything from the muffler back is rusted. my question is, will i have much of a difference in both sound and performance if i move up to 2.5" or 3" pipe?
I am running a single 3" on a 351 now, and I love it. Are you running duals? If so, I would go to 2.5" max. Also, a tip can alter what you exhaust tone will sound like. The longer and larger the tip, the louder youre exhaust will sound.

I thought that a larger and longer tip would make it quieter, but deeper.
