Well, I tried to do a bit of a search but didn't have the patience to read everything that might have some info that I need so I figured I'd start my own thread. Hopefully a bunch of you will chime in! So my 2012 King Ranch front seats are starting to look worn. Back seats look brand new. They're not torn yet but color is obviously wearing out. I've had someone look at it to refresh them but it sounds complicated, expensive and he claimed I would only get a couple, few years out of it. Didn't sound like a good deal so now I'm here wondering if anyone here tried anything other than getting new seats, that would be a small investment I'm sure. I know I could get seat covers but not interested. I like the OEM look.... I really do. I don't even like the newer King Ranch colors. No offence to anyone, I might even purchase one here in the near future lol, but I do like the generational colors of my seats. So what to do?? Hoping you guys will share some of your experiences. Thanks!
I bought my XLT with katskin covers already installed. No idea how much they cost, or how long they’ve been there, but they’ve taken some abuse and still look new
Katskins are great but, it sounds like the OP is looking to keep things OEM or refurbish is some way.
OEM KR seat covers can be difficult to find but, have you contacted any dealers to see if you can still get the original seat covers? They’re probably discontinued but, you never know. Or, you never know if dealers have old inventory laying around. You also can try salvage yards for the seats, but I haven’t had much luck in the past finding interior components in great condition.

I am going to try dealer, you never know. But, thought I'd throw it out here first.
No worries lol. I found this stuff called Seat Doctor on the net. Some kind of leather dye. Seems like it could work. I might give it a try...
I know what you are saying though, the darker tan color of the leather seats in the KR trim trucks of our gen were awesome looking.
When I first found my truck in December of 2016, there was also a King Ranch trim truck with it. It was also black but had the copper-ish secondary color on it, unlike the medium gray on my black Lariat. But the truck was being held for a sale... those seats looked really awesome in the pics... but I do like the 6th seat (foldable console) in front with mine...
Let us know what you do and end up with.
