Has anyone else experienced the truck holding throttle/rpm anywhere between 1,000 to 1,500 when you let off the pedal at speeds < 20mph? I’ve had this 2020 for a few months now and it has been doing this since I got it. It's very persistent (and annoying) while driving in a parking lot or residential neighborhood. I’ve seen a couple of other older forms discuss it but never any reasoning or fixes. Through testing I’ve found the following:
When the truck is holding this weird throttle without my foot being on the pedal, it will hold it until I break through it and it “lets go” around 8mph. From what I can tell, it will just hold the rpm at say, 1,200, for as long as I let it.
This doesn’t happen when in manual shifting mode
Doesn’t happen with exhaust brake on either.
Yes, truck is a “clean air breather”. However, this issue was present before anything was changed.
Hopefully this makes sense and someone has found what causes it and a fix.
Yes
often
Especially afyer a steady state run above 60
It seems to run high 1k or so.
press brake it goes away
Tap throttle in parking lot..it may come back
I used to think it might related to regen..but it happens to often
Then does not happen for long time
Its a quirk
