SuperChip Micro Tuner & system error codes

As I understand it, the SuperChip tuner will read the system error codes (hope I said that right). When you install the Superchip program or re-install the stock program for servicing, does this wipe out the existing codes or are the codes stored in a saparate module? What I getting at is... if you load the SuperChip program and then later on you have a fault/error code for the engine and need servicing, I would assume you would want to put back the stock program before going to the dealer. Would loading the stock program wipe out the error code?

No, you still need to hook it up and clear codes between program changes.

So each time you load the SuperChip program or the stock program you need to clear the error codes first?

No. But if you're taking it to the dealer its a good idea to clear the codes after returning the stock programming.
