I took my 2005 F250 powerstock in for service, I restored the stock files. When I got it back I get an error on the superchips module: “Contact Superchips” E-60 then File1: VXCF43N, File2: TQCI0AN
It Means Ford Flashed your Truck. Now U need to send Your Tuner Back to Superchip to Have That Updated to the New Files taht Ford Put in. Ain't It Great!
They should learn to keep up there technology. My company sells products that use firmware. We keep ours up to date so we don't have to have ship backs for updates. All of our products can be updated via internet or PC connection.
Most of their customers, till now, haven't had the computer savvy for it frankly. Its a support nightmare to try to walk people through flash updating a unit when there are so many different computers, operating systems, etc. These are products that have to work for everyone, including bubba who can't even use a digital watch. They are designed so even technophobes can use them.
Plug and play USB has just recently gotten cheap enough to allow the newer (and more expensive) Superchips Flashpaq programmer which does support it. Diablo's programmer has supported web updates for several years but used serial cables for updates and that can be a major pain for non-computer folks (trust me on this, I've tried many times to walk people through it, heck, even the cables aren't standardized).
