Yes they do... hence why I want that kit...

It probably does not affect it that much, very true, I just want a more solid front plate mount because mine is not... it would also give me more room to do a heater block plug mod like you did..

I have a NOCO plug like @chadstickpoindexter but haven't installed it yet. I also have a Torklift front receiver hitch too

In that photo, there is a plastic half moon style clip that holds the plug when not in use. So yes, there is plenty of slack to pull the plug out of the bumper. With my current brush guard bumper, the plug just dangles inside until it's needed. I still have the clip somewhere as I've been meaning to drill a hole for it to keep the plug from flopping and banging around. I zip tie it up during after winter.

Yes I believe I have the clip as well but leave mine hanging to use in winter time...

I believe I moved it down so I have better access to it when that 8 foot piece of steel is attached to my truck.

We mainly use these on our helicopters for various connections, then it dawned on me to use it on the truck for this. Ten minute install.

Yeah, I don't know why I didn't think of it because I used the same connector for the NOCO charger to keep the winch battery in trailer charged.
