Carb guru's needed

So what I have is a 69 f100 360, it has one of them fancy shiny 2bbl carbs made by Shinn and foo you can buy off fleabay for 130 bux.
I bought a core correct to the year and engine and am rebuilding it with a kit from Mike's carbs, what I'm wondering is can i use the electric choke off of the 🥷 carb and use it on my 🇺🇸 carb
Truck has hedders so can't run the hot air set up.
Thanks man

Yes you can use the electric choke. Just need to run switched 12vdc power to it. I do that when I'm running headers or do away with the heat pipe.

***** Update *****

So I rebuilt the carb with the kit from Mike's carbs and took the electric choke off of the chineseium carb and put it on the oe carb.
It works!
so far so good. Having a little problem getting the timing dialed in but I believe I'm sneaking up on it. The dizzy is a gm style big cap electronic one with an adjustable vacuum advance.
I have the timing set at 12 degrees and vac adv turned out 5 turns.
The 360 runs strong, idle is good at 750/800 ish in park and feels just right in drive.
still going to tinker with it and will report back.

If you are happy with the electric, great; but really quite easy to fabricate a heat stove to enable the use of the original hot air choke:

Heat stove fabrication

Since the heat choke is keyed to the engine temperature rather than a fixed time; it tends to give fewer issue.

Hi Jon
I was going to try and rig up some kind of hot air setup, my truck has a stock intake but has hedders.
