Flooded Carburator when hot

Have an original 61 econoline with a 144 in it, and a 1 barrel Holley. Have had a problem with hot starting for quite some time. Basically, when it's hot, the carb is flooded. Tried rebuilding the carb, no help. Tried replacing the carb with a NOS unit, still same problem. Has anyone else experienced this?? More important, ahs anyone else solved this problem? Thanks

Are you still running your heater hoses through the carb base? You might wat to try bypassing the carb. This will help reduce the heat going to the carb.

Also, are you sure that when you push the choke handle in, the choke is actually all the way off? You may need to adjust the choke linkage.

Thanks for the replies. I tried bypassing the carb base, no luck. There is no spacer between the carb and base, just gaskets. Should there be one of those thick spacers, and does anyone know where I can get one? Thanks again!
