motorcraft 4100 carb
i want a good 4bbl for my 410 mercury is the motorcraft 4100 carb a good choice and are they good carbs i don't really have a lot to spend right now so is this a good setup the engine is in a truck which i plan to use very hard.

I have a Motorcraft/Holley 4160 on my fresh 390 and it seems to be a good carb now that I got my flooding issue resolved. The float was too high. And I couldn't ask for an easier carb to adjust. All the adjustment screws are relatively easy to get to. I picked the carb up off Ebay for $25. Got a NAPA carb kit for about $40. And now that I have it set right it performs great. I did away with the old heat tube choke and purchased an electric conversion from Jegs. It's a lot more reliable. I have never tried any other type carb, but I am pleased with the Holley so far. Just my two cents.
