DSO ** ? instead of a code???

N = Norfolk, VA assembly plant

221208 = October 1961 assembly month - 1962 model year

114 = wheelbase in inches

A = Raven Black paint

F101 = F100 4x2 4,000 Lbs. GVWR

A = Ford 3-speed manual transmission (column shift)

11 = Ford 9" 3.70:1 rear axle ratio

04000 = Gross Vehicle Weight Rating

135 = Horsepower @

3800 = RPM

** = Not a Domestic Special Order. Some factories used ** instead of a blank.

66 is the body code for unibody while 81 is regular cab but they didn't indicate that code on the early trucks.
