Welcome to FTE! Thanks to @asavage it will take far fewer hours to decode. Where were you in '62?

F60 = F600

C = 292 2V Medium Duty Ford Y-block, 135 Certified Net HP @ 3800 RPM

K = Kansas City Assembly Plant

222728 = 1962 numerical series, October 1961 production

156 - 156 inch wheelbase

L = Dark Green

F600 = F600, 17,000 lbs GVWR

F = Borg Warner T98A four speed transmission. Synchro in 2, 3 & 4.

F1 = Eaton model 13802 two speed rear axle, 15,000 lbs capacity, 5.83 / 8.11 ratios

No front axle code. Given the GVWR and rear axle capacity, it's probably a Ford, 4,500 capacity, no power steering. There should be identifying info cast into the axle, possibly on the passenger side, back of axle.

17000 = 17,000 lbs GVWR

135 3800 = 135 Certified Net HP @ 3800 RPM, as stated in the MPC for '62.

0414
This appears to be the special order number, with no 2 digit District Sales Office number showing.

Your truck could have the Firestone RH 5 degree "widow maker" wheels. No one will work on them, and they can come apart under certain circumstances, or sometimes just for no apparent reason--although that's usually right after you work on them.

Stay out of the line of fire when airing up. The rear duals will pop out and get you. The fronts pop into the frame and brake lines.

Good luck!
