Just bought some tow mirrors that come with a heater. My truck didn’t have that from factory and I wanted a timed switch next to the mirror controls. Bought a Thermasync switch and printed a plate that relocated the factory mirror adjustment switch to make room for the heater switch.
I think it came out pretty good. We'll see how long the print holds up in the sun. I may need to get some different filament but time will tell.
Anyways, I thought some people might find it interesting.
They were just some that I got off Amazon - YITAMOTOR.
Initial impression is that the quality is good. The mirrors definitely have way more visibility compared to stock. Controls all work fine. The actual mirrors (not the housing) seem to shake/vibrate a little more than stock. I haven’t finished wiring it all up yet nor has it got cold enough to need the heat function (wiring is kind of a pain since you have to run it through the door boot).
Overall, I’m happy with the purchase for the price. If they don’t last, I’ll look into doing a swap off a 2011-2016 F250.
Looks good. I went the simple way and just tied the heat into the park lamp signal with a relay. So anytime the park lights are on the heat is on. 5-6 years later they still work fine.

Why a relay? Source is fused right?
I'm not so hot with electrical wizardry so genuinely curious.
