I like it when electrical parts fix themselves! lol! My mirrors wouldn't rotate to the right, took off the door panel and removed the switch with the intent to see if there was any corrosion or ANYTHING that would be apparent, nothing in there so just figured the switch went bad per another thread here. I wrote part # down and I didn't want to see a hole in my panel so I put the switch back in, reassembled everything and just for giggles I played with the switch and as of 10 minutes ago its working again!! Just had to share, if anybody could say what might of happened, please tell!
A tiny bit of schmutz in the wrong place inside Mirror Switch is enough to cause it not to work right. Mirror Switch is located so that there's a fair chance a bit of schmutz will eventually get in. Sometimes it doesn't take much to dislodge a bit of schmutz. Often just repeatedly 'working' the switch for awhile is enough to clear schmutz out.
When more than a tiny bit of schmutz gets in you can usually save a Mirror Switch by removing it & carefully snapping it open/apart. The delicate copper contacts often show telltale green corrosion, but are fairly easy to clean & snap back together.

Well I guess this, Putz, moved enough schmutz so the switch would make this Putz think he really did something but it was apparently it was just the movement of the schmutz! LOL!!
