I don’t know who Rocketman is. I had my gauge converted locally and used the wires from the C8 connector to power the gauge through the factory circuit board plug.
JimsRebel like that plug in meter, seems much easier and cheaper than a gauge conversion and it installation and would give you a good idea of the systems operation. Ordered one today.
BobbyFord Rocketman Classic Cougar Innovations is who I was referring to, see post 52 and follow the hyper link to his site. Yes I can see where you could use C8 to power the gauge on the one side but would have to disconnect the 655-R connection on the other side as it goes back to the alternator in a loop and would have to ground that side as far as I can see.
From a purely looks standpoint, I prefer the more pancake flat type of plug-in gauge.
But the one in Jims picture is probably easier to view from the driver’s seat than the one I like.
