I’ve tried Forscan and haven’t had any luck just like everyone else on this forum after upgrading to a larger fuel tank. I’ve talked to ZooDad annd a few other members and everyone still says nothing has surfaced yet as far as calibrating the DTE to be correct. Yesterday I spoke with S&B and they have a tool being released in the next couple weeks to calibrate for there specific tank sizes. I called Titan Tanks after being that is the brand I have and they have no such tool in the making….but the tech guaranteed me that Forscan can adjust it on the PCM without a doubt. Apparently he has done it multiple times on multiple trucks of the newer years. Has anyone had any luck yet or is he crazy?

Last I spoke with S&B they were working on their device.
Titan has continues to say it can be done.
It cannot be done with ForScan by any known method.
I pretty much got the same story from Titan. I decided to wait for S&B before I upgrade my tank but God, I wish somebody would call Titan out and tell them to put up or shut up and put them on blast when they can't. They say they can just to sell the tanks and when the DTE doesn't function I am sure they have a line where they say it should and must be something different with "your" rig versus "ALL" the others they have done that have worked.

I have called out Titan on a few of their social media posts - when I point them to specific threads here about the documented known issue and ask how they have dealt with this using Forscan, they just ghost.

Hi, on my 2025 F350 6.7L TTD I upgraded my stock 34Gal tank to Titan 55Gal tank. I just used Forscan to change the tank size in the PCM module from 34 to 55 gal. Nothing else needed. The change didn't take effect on the DTE immediately after this PCM change. But after about 4 hours later the DTE data has changed to more realistic numbers. Went from 360miles DTE at about half full tank to 880miles on full tank. My guess is after changing the PCM tank size, it takes a while for the system to update the DTE data.

It has been shown quite conclusively by multiple forum members that the DTE is not accurate on a 23+ when changed with Forscan. Likely the system is using the larger 48 gallon factory tank size to calculate your new DTE and not 55.

@Tsax6010 is correct. Max capacity it will use is the 48 gallon
I finally got around to updating the fuel tank size this weekend. Pretty easy once I figured out I was in the wrong place in Forscan. I was in the IPC and found a fuel tank size, but it was set on "0.0". Finally dug around and found the setting in PCM. Added about 200 miles to empty changing to the 48 gallon setting. Just curious, what is the settings in IPC for?

I wonder if thats for correcting MPG. I know you can get into engineering mode and adjust MPG there. I did it on my F350 and its within 3% now.
The largest factory size is a 66 gallon, I am looking at adding a 68 gallon to my 26 F350. My dealer thinks they can flash that 66 gallon data into my truck.
