What years 351W?
Thinking about a warmed up 351 for the '57 F-100. I would like to get either a good running engine to get by with for a while or one thats running but an overhaul and some spicing up wouldn't hurt.
What years/models 351W would be a good canvas to start with? Leaning towards truck engine from the mid '90s on up if I can find one but have no qualms with an older engine as long as it gives me something good to build with.
Most likely going aftermarket EFI and I am pretty set on a 4R70W/4R75W for the transmission for modern driveability and efficiency in the old truck.

EFI set up comes with distributor and computer and I will just look at the aftermarket stand alone units for the transmission.
