I recently posted that I have plans to replace the regulator and run in the driver side door of my 2000 Super Cab truck. Another FTE'r contacted me via PM asking if I knew if a 2011 - 2016 driver side window run would fit due to the rarity of the 1999 - 2003. I sent him a link to the window run I was planning to purchase and unbeknownst to me, I had saved the more popular passenger side window run.
The FTE'r was kind enough to send me the only documentation they could find regarding a newer model year driver side window run fitting properly, with a slight modification of course.
This is much more high tech than my 6 year long "temporary" solution of using Vaseline and a plastic syringe with a 1/8" opening. This winter I will be replacing the passenger side door actuator, driver side door window run (if I can find a solution) and the driver side door regulator.
A pick and pull is not a suitable solution for me and I am looking to purchase a new window run be it aftermarket or OEM, preferably OEM though...
Thanks for any input or insight you are able to offer regarding a new OEM/aftermarket part or whether or not a "retrofit" solution is available.
Thanks Sous. I am going to try this part to cure a mysterious creaking door glass. I can replicate the sound with the window down a couple of inches and pressing in and out on the glass. Its a mystery as to why it would still "creak" with the window all the way up, but it drives me nuts after a couple of hours in the truck. If it works, I will report back.

Your welcome and thanks again to the other FTE'r that went through this ordeal prior to us.
I too have a window creak of sorts too when raises the window from a full down position. It creaks or slightly binds about 1/4 the way up, then clears up. I plan to fix this creak with the window regulator in the link below.
The mysterious and hard to locate and fix "window creak" was finally solved by using the improved door strike; Ford part # 9L3Z1522008A. It's crazy that the new door strike resolved this. Where ever the noise was coming from, it was transmitting it through the glass. I liked it so much that I did the other 3 doors. I think these only work on single and crew cabs though.
