I have a 2024 F250 Lariat with the ultimate package and ther 6.7 that I bought new this past June. I first noticed that the Ford pass app wasn’t working. I would try to start the truck or use the app to make sure the lights on my trailer were working properly when I hooked it up. It wouldn’t update with info on the truck. So I tried deleting the app, rebooting the phone, and then reinstalling the app. That didn’t work. So then I tried removing the truck and then adding it back in the app. Once the truck was removed I couldn’t add it back. I tried the troubleshooting suggentions in the app. The first thing was to turn off the truck, open the door so the screen went black after shutting down. Then try the process of adding it again. That didn’t work. Next step was to go into the settings, go to connectivity, turn it off and then back on. The conectivity screen either doesn’t respond or gives a message to take it to a dealer. I work out of my truck so it’s hard to give it up when it goes into the shop. When I first got it the doors wouldnt lock or unlock using the proximity key, so I disconected both batteries for 1/2 hour and it started working. So tonight I gave that a try to see if that would work with this new problem, it didn’t. I’ve also noticed that the navigation screen shows me at a place 60 miles away that I haven’t been to for a couple weeks. It also shows no gps. I’ve tried searchinhg for an easy fix on here, but haven’t been able to find one. I’ve got to bite the bullet and take it into the dealer to get them to look at it. I’m hoping someone on here might have a suggestion that can help me out with this issue.
I just had the same issue. They were able to get it to work the first time but it quit working again a week later. Took it back and they had to order a TCU but apparetlntly they're backordered.
The tech in new vehicles can be nice at times, other times I miss my Jeep. It was a ‘63 ****** CJ-5. When ever there was a problem, it was simple to fix.
Unfortunately, there's not likely going to be a quick DIY fix for this. You've already tried the normally recommended things (which typically don't work for this problem anyway). The issue is well documented on this and other sites and was most likely caused by an OTA that bricked your TCU. The fix is probably a new TCU. Unfortunately, you'll have to suffer through the dealership warranty song and dance. Sorry this is your work truck as it sounds like it will be a major inconvenience. Maybe you can get a loaner out of the dealer. Good luck and tell us how it works out.

I dropped my truck of at the dealer yesterday for my appointment today. I just hope this process won't take too long.
I got a message from the dealer telling me that there is nothing wrong. The advisor told me since there is nothing won't with it he will have to charge me a diagnosis fee. They even sent me a link to a video that the "tech" took shooting that everything is ok. It doesn't show that the truck is at the dealer, but that is still about 70 miles away. To test the navigation he entered 7-11. It mailed out a route to the closest one to where the nav unit thinks it's at. The store is 17 miles away and still out of state. The screen still shows a red circle with a slash through it over gps on the screen. I emailed the advisor and told him all that and asked him to have someone check it again. He replied that he will have it checked again. That will teach me to taking it to Corwin Ford for the issue. Next time I'll drive an extra half hour to take it to another dealer for work.
They ended up replacing the TCU in my vehicle and it was done within 2 hours. Mine was showing the same thing, last location was my work and it changed in the app as soon as they had the new TCU in and programmed. Havent had any issues since it was replaced.
I'm having this issue and it sounds like a dealership appointment is required.
Yes, likely a dealership appointment is going to be needed. You may have come across a few owners who had success w/ battery and fuse disconnects 'fixing' it, but mostly the necessary fix has been a new TCU. And the TCU is not a DIY replacement as far as I can tell. As you may be gathering, it's a recurring problem dating back about a year. Last winter, it was difficult and time consuming to get dealers to acknowledge the problem, diagnose it to the root cause, and procure back ordered TCU's. It took me about 4 appointments and a couple months for a dealer fix. With all those trucks that went before you, hopefully Ford has now finally acknowledged the problem and can get to a solution faster for you. Good luck.
Was this ever fixed? I'm having this issue and it sounds like a dealership appointment is required.
I had my TCU replaced last April. Same symptoms that I've seen in this post. GPS not working and showing the truck in a spot where it was parked sometime in the past (the dealer address, ironically), not current information. Oddly enough the truck was in for something totally unrelated from the TCU and when I picked it up is when I noticed that GPS things were not functioning.
On the plus side, after the TCU replacement the odometer had 4k fewer miles than when the truck went in! I notified the dealer of this as soon as I got home. It's been back in a couple of times for oil changes but nothing was ever done about the odometer.
The TCU thing is definitely a dealership appointment. Drop off appointment, not a wait in the lounge area appointment.

Not yet. They had another truck that they were already working on that was having the same problem as me. They initially told me that it wasn’t the TCU like was suggested here and two other super duty forums. They finally figured out that it was the TCU and that they need it for two or more weeks to fix it. I haven’t taken it back in for them to fix it since I use my truck for work.
