Yeah getting "everything" from the same place would be the easiset by far. I've pretty much only looked at new/reman parts before but I've started to look for junkyards now. Granted I haven't been at it for very long but is it not common practice for junkyards in the US to put their stuff online? Either that or I need to up my searching skills. Didn't have the slightest clue about the pedal, thanks for bringing it up!
I figured out how to find used parts online in the US. Created a Facebook account for marketplace and some guys there sell what seems to be complete ”kits” to do a swap, in varying condition and price, just have to wait until Facebook decides I’m human. And also Craigslist, a couple interesting listings there, but holy **** the trucks! Sure they are pretty low mileage and look really really clean in the pics, but do some 7.3s really sell for 30-40k usd? That’s on par with the prices over here. But the supply is a bit bigger in the US. If I do a quick search and only look at one of the bigger auto trade sites here there is one f-250 crew 7.3 and one excursion 7.3 but both need a sort of cdl license because of weight and among other things that means you ”can’t” go faster than 55 mph
Be careful shopping on FB Marketplace. More than half the listings are scams.
Yes, please be very careful with FB marketplace and Craigslist. Lots of scammers from all over the world looking to steal your money. Not as big of an issue when you can meet up to make the purchase. But when you’re trusting them to ship, it is very easy for them to play a scam.
Watch payment methods. It should be a secure method which offers you protection from fraud like PayPal business etc. If they ask to do PayPal friends/family or Zelle then it’s likely a scam.
I would consider asking someone to post it on eBay for you to purchase there. Even if it cost you a bit more to cover their fees, eBay will help make it a secure transaction in my opinion.
@ESwift you know of anyone with ZF6 swap parts they’d be willing to ship across the pond?
Yeah I can imagine, and even a half decent seller might see a chance to make a little extra when the buyer is on another continent. I saw a guy that seemed serious, about 1500 reviews, a couple parts trucks and a few of those "swap kits" but it's easy to make it look good online and it could just as well have been pictures from a long time ago and none of the parts are in usable condition now. Didn't get any further than that though before facebook deleted my account and banned my e-mail, not sure what they got so upset about. My gf has facebook though so I can probably borrow her account to look at truck parts, she'll love that! And I do agree, if I could see the parts with my own eyes it woudn't cause me any concern at all, if it's in worse condition than I thought or don't exist I just go home again. It's a good idea with ebay, they do make it a little more secure. I was also thinking that asking the forum for help could be an option. Either to source and buy the parts and then I buy it from the forum member. Or that I find the parts and then get help to go take a look. I use a shipping service that gives me a US adress so atleast I don't have to also worry about finding a dealer that does international shipping. We'll see how it unravels, as of now I'm in no real rush to get the parts since I have to go over the rest of the truck before it's back on the road anyway so I have some time to figure out what to do.
True that! If I was the seller I’d probably be very cautious not to ship anything until I was sure the buyer couldn’t cancel the transfer or something like that. And I do understand that my behaviour was suspicious, probably not common to jump inte the marketplace in another part of the world the very first thing with a new account. But maybe they didn’t really need to ban me completely
An update on the search, I've got 3 replies from craigslist and 2 of them were scam. But the tird I think is legit. Do someone here have experience with "allamericanautodismantling" on instagram or americanautodismantling dot com?

I'm in the UK & understand the struggle to find the right parts, the right price & with someone who is actually prepared to deal with someone the other side of the pond, fortunately I have a couple of friends who specialise in shipping from the USA to the UK by container, which does mean a fair lead time, but the costs are reasonable & I only have to find sellers happy to ship to Oklahoma or Georgia. It might be worth speaking to some of the drag racing community in Sweden, it's a big thing there if you don't already know.
I'm sure they'll be able to suggest shipping options.
I tried to buy a complete 4WD truck here in the UK last year for parts, body was scrap but the seller thought it was worth more than the mint condition truck I sold a couple of years back, they do appear occasionally....
Good luck with your project.
