I have a 1990 f150 with the 4.9L straight 6. When the truck is cold, like the first start in the morning, the engine stumbles and will die unless I quickly press the gas. Anyone have any ideas to what could cause this? Only recently started happening now that it's getting cooler outside
They say to unhook the negative battery cable for atleast 10 minutes.
ok, been a while but have some updates. After cleaning iac and replacing gasket, as well as resetting the ecm and driving it at least 20 miles for the ecm to recalibrate, the problem is still there. It only happens every like 1 in 3 cold starts. Any other ideas?
