Tailgate open alarm disable?
On a new 2026 truck can you disable the dash alarm for tailgate open. Truck has a shell on it that replaces the tailgate.
2026 f250 XLT w/xlt premium package.

Mine also came with this harness. It's a 2024 as well. Maybe Ford stopped including the harness on the newer models?

My 24 did not include the tailgate removal kit. The kit number for your reference is PC3Z13A576A. I have the XLT premium with the 360 camera package, and the kit basically fools the computer to think that tailgate is still in place, The rear view on screen will be blanked out. But with this harness you still get the little red icon on the dash screen showing tailgate ajar. The harness kit is free from the dealer, but you will more than likely still have the issue when using it. Take a look at the write up and there is a work around and fix.
