2023 tailgate camera when down?
Anyone with a 2023 lariat Ultimate package can verify if the camera at the top of the tailgate is there? So you can see on your dash screen when tailgate is down.

I am hearing no, only the KR and above.

I believe that is correct, does not come on Lariat Ultimate package.

That's a good idea. I bet I could make one. Anybody have a picture of the location of the tailgate-down camera?

That makes sense. If they are on the 2 ends it would make sense cause they would set off from the gooseneck if they are in the middle. I have to shut the sensors off to drop my tailgate and backup so I dont have to listen to the constant tone. My bumper sensors will pick up my gooseneck hitch with my tailgate up when I back up to my trailer to park.

Yup the middle one is a camera in that picture, the other 2 are proximity sensors.

Is the tailgate down camera not part of the tow technology package that was delayed until Job 2 orders? Meaning it could be on Lariat Ultimates that are only just now beginning to get schedule dates?

I thought it was only included with the power down and up tailgate. So would that be KR and up?

Now thieves will be even more excited to steal Super Duty tailgates! Hopefully Ford made them harder to remove.

No is the answer to the original question - Have a L/U that just came into the dealer, and the only thing on top of the tailgate is the release button for the step.
