Injectors
Injectors
note: same thread as posted on the Org.
In the end, it is all up to the owner to determine value. That said, IMO, injectors are one area that needs to be the best possible quality that you can find. We see too many threads on problems experienced with aftermarket injectors. I think very highly of Pure Power, the ones that made the original injectors, and who Ford uses for re-manufacturing! When injectors have problems, it can be a pain to determine the root cause. Also, some very bad things can happen if/when an injector dumps excessive raw fuel (white smoke will be seen).
New injectors made by Pure Power are still available. So are Ford injectors re-manufactured by Pure Power. Accurate Diesel sells both. So does FullForceDiesel. CNCFab sells the Pure Power re-manufactured injectors. Lastly, it appears that Injectors Direct sells both also.
I made this thread after seeing several threads across several forums from people wanting to re-condition their injectors, including sanding their spool valves. IMO, the spool valve work is not advisable. There have been a lot of threads over the years where people did their own spool valve work and most (if not all) did not turn out well in the long-term. I firmly believe in the value of NEW spool valves!
Regarding re-manufactured injectors:

- These injectors feature a BRAND NEW spool valve in every single injector. Years of experience with the G2 HEUI injector led to the conclusion that this is the best practice to archive the ultimate in long-term trouble free operation.
- NEW Spring and Plunger in every injector.
- NEW Solenoids, wiring, and connector in every injector
- Years of improvements and updated specifications applied to every injector (includes vented end caps to prevent stiction)
