I replaced the fuel injectors on my 1988 4,9l f150. It started up but now idles fast and never drops back to normal. Is it likely the new injectors are too strong ? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Did you replace with the same color injectors, or are they different color?
The image shows remanufactured injectors, not sure how the perform compared to new injectors.
Put your old injectors back in, see if it makes a difference.
No. Most likely Not. You've got some other issue. Why did you replace the injectors in the first place?
They are the original injectors and I was looking to get better performance and gas mileage.
I replaced the fuel rail pressure regulator thinking that might be the problem but it's still the same.
