Hi everybody i got a 2 quick questions about my ECM. My 92 was having some idle, ect. problems and i decided to take out the ecm. It has these little green dots over everything inside of the ecm ,is that normal? And my ecu connections are super corroded and one has bleed about 3/4in down the board. Is that ok if i replace the connections or has that made a bigger problem?
Thanks
[QUOTE=torq'ta 5 8;21647506]Needs a capacitor, or 3, take a pic of the whole board, fix, and find you a spare, before they dont have any left.[/QUOTE
ok thanks, will do. Do you know if these ecms are interchangeable with other models of this time period?
Here's the thread where I replaced my capacitors. It's fairly easy. Relay chatter after turning key off - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums https://share.google/4A50hHXtyJxvFst0T

I couldn't get any solder on the top side of one of the circles but on the bottom it went ok there was so much curotion that it took out the top part so ill see what happens. Just was looking at chat gpt abt my iac and figured out it was stuck so another 60 bucks down the drain lol. Thanks have a good one yall.
Give that board a gentle scrub with rubbing alcohol and a tooth brush.
The white stuff is most likely something that got deposited when it got wet
(condensation? a leak?) and may be conductive.
