I went to the scrap yard the other day and had my truck weighed in the process, so figured I'd share my data
Exactly 4200 lbs (rounded to nearest 20 lb) with a quarter-tank of gas, hitch, bed cap, and me (165 lbs) in it. That's a '91 Standard cab long-bed with 4.9 RWD and M5R2.
So without me and the hitch, somewhere close to 4000 lbs. Without the cap, probably about 3800 lbs.

Reason: Added cap details
My '96 F150 supercab short box with 351W/E4OD/4X4 was 5200 lbs stock. Probably one of the heavier half ton builds of that era aside from a long bed with super cab.
