Fuel Filter
Fuel Filter
How often do you folks change the fuel filter for the 10th Gen F150 ?
Is it a real thing or issue with the fuel filter clogging and needing replacement every so often, or is the gas stations filters sufficient to keep a vehicle's fuel system free of contaminants?

You’ll know if your fuel pressure drops like a rock.
I got a fuel filter and pump with the engine swap last spring. The filter didn’t look too bad for 278K miles. I’m not sure I had ever done it since I owned it (110K miles when I bought it). Maybe once?

My gas tank was changed 5 years ago so you can say it's relatively new.
Do "fuel system cleaners" with PEA loosen crud in the fuel system somewhere that can easily gunk these fuel filters up?
Just looking at my records, my current fuel filter has 20 000 KM's on it.
It's exactly 3 yrs old.

And I look for rust on the fuel filter
If it is rusty at all, replace it, it's old
That said, I pull them off all the time that are 20 years old and they are clear and blow through just fine
