How much fabrication would be required to mount a super cab onto a regular cab frame? I'm not too worried about the bed length because I'll either mount a short bed or build a flat bed. In leaning more towards the flat bed option. Thanks for any input y'all might be able to give.
No idea myself but I'm interested to know what others say. I've toyed with the idea for mine. Would like to keep the standard cab long bed wheel base and the radius arm front suspension but have a bit more room in the cab.
I'm thinking you would just need to add some new rear cab mounts 12-18 inches further back on the frame but that's only a WAG.
If should mount up easy enough, it has been done before by others. The only real diffferent is the back of the cab cross member position. You might have to fab up another back of the cab cross member. And yes you will have a very SHORT bed. So a flat bed is the easiest.
I believe this WAS a regular cab and a SC got put on it. Also called a SC side saddle crew cab.
