I have an issue with my the PCM, in two years am going on the second PCM can't figure out why but someone on the chat mentioned the battery cover was the cause of having the problem with the PCM as he said; I lean the hard way.
My truck doesn't have a battery cover and if I Hader known, I would have taken it from the other truck before I sold it. Should that be the true cause where could I find one.
I been looking now online for days including the dealership but having seen anything.
If anyone have that information that the battery cover is the problem and I can get hold of them, please, give me an idea where to look for that cover,
Usually, the PCMs themselves are well sealed; it's the harness and PCM connectors that are most prone to corrosion from the battery acid and vapors.
If you want a more secure situation that the porus cover itself, which will not protect against leaks around the battery posts (vapor and liquid), if your region of the country uses these types of batteries from Walmart with a nipple vent so a hose can be pathed under the frame, or an AGM battery (Walmart cheapest), which is sealed, will be better.
Yes, I was directed to the seller because Florida was not in his / hers shipping list. I sent him / her my broker address in Florida to see if they will ship.
Thank you, I appreciate your help whether its workout or not, I got a good lead to continue.
Have a great weekend.
