Is there any demand for one of these transmissions? The trans was rebuilt by PATC almost three years ago and honestly is the best part of the truck. The 3-1/2 year old rebuilt engine is junk and I’m not fixing it again just to have the cam go bad again in a few years. I’m debating pulling the trans to sell separately and junk the rest of the truck unless no one really wants these transmissions.
I would join the B2 and Ranger groups on Facebook. Somebody may have interest usually depending on how far the part is from them! My A4LD was rebuilt in April but i keep taking it back because they can't seem to figure out why the front seal keeps leaking lots!

Thanks. That might help sell the transmission. The rebuild was $2K about three years ago which now has 60K trouble free miles on it.
Put it on Facebook...
The pump/torque converter bushing may be worn, the converter hub may be undersize or grooved(and then smoothed, reducing the OD)
The drain back to the sump may be getting flooded with excessive fluid from a worn bushing, and the drilled drain may need to be upsized. I think there is something on YT about converter leaks on A4LDs.
They are maligned transmissions, but can handle a LOT if built properly. Most are not maintained, and die.
A Bronco-II might be worth more than expected... check what people are asking for them. They are as solid/reliable as the Rangers of the same year.

There is nothing wrong with the transmission which is why I am thinking about selling the transmission separately. It has nice firm (almost too firm) shifts, the fluid is bright red with no debris in the pan after 60K miles. The engine is the problem which I am not going to rebuild again.

The main crank bearing wear or front pump sleeve bear is bad will cause premature front pump seal leakage and rear main seal leakage..

Before I have mine rebuilt I read that was a common problem with the A4LD and that it the rebuilder has to know the proper way to set up the front pump bushing or else it won’t last long.
