Just cleaned my throttle body for 10th Gen F150.
Roughly 2 years has passed and mostly Shell regular unleaded gas was used.
12000-15000 KMs distance since last throttle body cleaning.
I'm surprised how relatively clean it was.
Very small amount of carbon past throttle plate.
The front throttle plate looked relatively clean.
Does this mean that the fuel has adequate additives in it?

I would say it means you have good air filters !!!
Basic Fram model air filter changed a couple years ago.
I remember it wasn't dirty much back then.
Should I change it if it's not that dark ?
Does a new air filter periodically changed keep mass air flow sensor cleaner ?
Get that Fram outta there and replace it with a Ford or Motorcraft for best results. Everything that gunks up the intake and sensors goes thru that filter, oem is best.
Just changed the Fram air filter to a Motorcraft air filter.
Attached are pics of the Fram Air Filter with roughly 15 000 kms. Looks pretty dirty but the intake hose that leads to the EGR is spotless from dust and debris.
Looks like exactly the time to change it. 2 yrs old.
The WIX air filter is made up of enhanced cellulose and for half the price of the Motorcraft air filter. Motorcraft material on air filter is not described anywhere. WIX Easily available here locally and the WIX outsells the Motorcraft times over and with better reviews.
Not a fan of oiled filters
They are bad on the MAF sensor with the 2 hot wires inside
They put a film on the hot wires that make up the sensor
That film requires you to clean the maf occasionally to make it run right

So, what would I use to clean the MAF sensor? Like carb cleaner, or electronics cleaner (switch and tuner cleaner)?
Sounds like next go around I'm going to put a regular filter back in...
If you clean the MAF while it is still on the intake ...
The red sensor that is on the MAF is not visible...
Should the entire MAF be removed to be sprayed ?
Can't it be done while it's still attached to the intake ?
I don't want to take it apart and have trouble installing it correctly again.

After I check the MAF PID and voltage out of the sensor
I take them off
I take them apart
I touch both of the hotwires with a pocket screwdriver and move them slightly
Sometimes you find a spider web in there
You need to take the cover off to find those
