Are 05-2016 front axles interchangeable?
Hello, I have a 2012 F250 extended cab shortbed with the 6.2 2wd. I’d like to swap it to 4x4, but I’m having a hard time finding a 11-16 axle in my area. Are 05-10 axles the same?
Would there be differences that I can remedy such as bearings from a 2012 axle that I could put in an 05 axle and such?

They are pretty much the same from 05-16, there are some differences though.
05-07 use a different swaybar end link
08-12 are the same (ABS sensor may have changed in 11)
13-16 got bigger brakes so rotors, pads, calipers, caliper bracket and knuckle are different
Soft brake lines change over the years, just get the correct ones for your truck, track bar mounts (on the frame) change each generation so you’ll have to get one for 11-16.
Everything else is the same between years, just make sure to get the same ratio as your rear axle.
