I'm Wondering if anyone has any experience or knowledge with solid front axle swapping a 67-72 F250. Trying to see if a dana 44 or whatever solid front axle will be able to be swapped on a 2wd F250.
Now I have no idea of your skill level and what your budget is, these two things go hand and hand. I believe the higher your skill level and your tool supply will lower your budget. This is because the more you can do means the less you need to pay someone else to do.
Look at Smokey's build and see, if someone was to pay to do what he has done I would hazard a guess that you would be over 50K!
First question: can you weld and fabricate stuff? That is the big question. 2wd and 4wd frames are completely different. It is NOT a bolt-on job. The 2wd frame has that hulking huge crossmember in front. Easiest is to find a rolling 4wd frame and transfer your stuff over. Next would be a 73-79/80-98/99+ Super Duty 4wd frame with your body.
