I was making three stops to purchase items. The first two went OK. At the third, I started the truck, right away I saw No center display. Engine was running OK, I tried the turn signals, No good. Shift indicator stuck in P, bud truck worked fine while driving.
So I tried driving to the next store. Then a message popped up saying " Steering Assist System Needs Service " then showed the Amber Wrench indication. I stopped again two miles later.
At the next start, the system cleared itself, no messages, no problems while driving, no leaks. What am I looking at in terms of Servicing ? Is a component going bad ?
Thank you.

almost sounds to me more like a possible ecm/body module confusion and a restart fixed it.
I rotated tires about 3 years ago. Like i always do. Up on four jack stands .
That warning popped up on mine. Some google searching led me to turning the wheel left and right in some sequence a few times so it recalibrates. Never had a problem since. It was strange
It was weird, Like i said it was a bunch of years ago and at least 30,000, No issues. Fluke, Maybe its a fluke for you too and you won't see it again.
