This is great info. Pretty similar to my trailer (length/weight) too. I just picked up a 2025 version of your truck this past weekend. I’m coming from towing with a 2020 Expedition with Max Towing package. Two runs through the Rockies the last few years was enough for me to start looking for a Super Duty.

I’ve been towing this trailer for the past four years with a 3.5 Ecoboost F150. Tow package max crew. Plenty of power but not enough mass. I got tired of the feeling that I was riding on the edge of control. My hat is off to the guys towing the 30+ footers with an F150.

My F150 below was rated for about 9k towing. The trailer is probably 8k loaded, 32' ball to bumper. Pulled just fine most of the time with the 5.0 V8. Going up hills was a bit hard on it. That's the primary reason for the new F250 PSD. Looking forward to next season.

How do you like the hood protector/bug deflector? Any previous experience with that model? I was either going to get the one you have or the Aeroskin II that is held on by 3m tape. Yours is the first picture on a 2026 Super Duty.

+1 on the Fumoto valve. All my previous vehicles had them when I was doing oil changes. Wouldn't it be nice if Ford used that for the fuel filter drain?
Any detriments to the Bug Deflector, Bolt-on - Husky HUL-2815235?

Have ran the same basic model of deflector for a couple decades with good results. I wasn't wanting to tape something across the hood. Also, the stick-on ones I saw don't appear to have the extra flair/bend at the top to increase the angle of attack. The other thing I like about the bolt on is you can get under it when washing the truck. To install you remove 4 push pins from the underhood weatherstripping and replace with screws. The outer edge does use about a 4" strip of 2-sided tape under the hood. I did install 4 of the stick on rubber bumpers on the hood, but probably gotten by without them as I haven't noticed any flexing at highway speeds.

Nice looking truck, and I like your Army mud flaps. You said, " angle of attack." You didn't happen to fly while you were in the Army. Thanks for your info on the hood protector.

I have also added a BuiltRight mollie in the bed of the truck (secures my gas can when traveling) and a cell phone dash mount. Both are well built and do a great job. I also had these in my past vehicles.
Bubba which cell phone mount did you go with? Happy with it, and did it require drilling? Thanks
