Nope; TFL's testing as I said before. Post up your "multiple videos and magazine reviews" that show timed comparisons of a GM and Ford DRW diesel towing at max GVWR up a grade.......I'll save you the trouble; there aren't many and I've seen pretty much all of them. You may have driven lots of trucks but you haven't timed them pulling a grade with the same load. Unless you have information that specifically refutes these videos, I'm going with the posted numbers.

Curious to know if there’s a noticeable difference with an additional 25 hp/150 foot pounds of torque for the additional $2500
Pulling my two trailers, that weigh 20k lbs, the HO will pull the grade leaving the valley I'm in, 5 mph faster.

To clarify, I am not pulling the two trailers at the same time

I will not be going back to the non ho.

Thanks. I picked a truck last week. Apparently it was a special order that a customer walked away from.

A huge difference on a 20,000 lb rig and 25 hp.

right.

right.
its all about tq
just an example
my bus has an 8.3. Isc 350 hp, and 1200 tq
32k lbs of brick
its like a bulldog...its just pulls hard and maintains speed
I haven't loaded my superduty HOe
Even close..
But the tq keeps it is an animal in tq feeling once your above 3rd gear.
I smile each time I drive it now

I have looked in my area for a dyno that will allow it...
I would love to know just how much is getting to the tires

This. Right here.

Too many people ONLY look at horsepower. When it comes to grunt work, you NEED torque, and the more the better. It's what gets the load moving - horsepower is what KEEPS it moving, and it's a function of torque and RPM. When you're loaded with 20k, you will get up to speed quicker with a diesel than a gasser because more torque, and 125 ft-lbs of torque is a LOT.

If you doubt it, grab a torque wrench and set it at 25 ftlbs, see how easy it is to get there. Then set it at 150 ftlbs - it takes a LOT more effort. Now imagine adding that effort to the output of your engine - that's a LOT more ability of your engine to move a load.
