Hello, I'm doing a complete rewire in a 1975 using Centech harness. I only have the fan running in the high switch position with it all hooked up.
During diagnosis, I have supplied 12v going directly to the resistors and fan (bypassing the switch) and i do have low medium and high as it should be. I have taken apart 2 different switches that i have, as neither one had continuity between 12v and low and medium( when in those or any switch position.) These are fairly simple switches, but I cant seem to get low and medium working. Ordered a new one from dennis carpenter.
Im just hoping someone can confirm if I've got the right idea on this problem.
Thanks. I have the 12V going to the bottom connector that is perpendicular to the other 3. Pretty sure this is correct.
there is continuity on the switch between hi and medium only when in the high position. No other continuity in any positions other than hi. Hoping the new switch is good.
I know the resistors and wiring from switch connector to the fan are correct.
Just in case anyone else is installing a Centech harness, this is their instruction sheet for the heater that is incorrect. They have the hi and 12V in swapped.
