My 2025 has just over 3000 miles. Recently I’ve been getting a low tire pressure message but the pressure reads both front and rear are only 1 psi different. Front are 63 & 62 psi, rears are 80 & 79 psi. I have the erroneous tailgate ajar message as well. Too much crap on these trucks. Anyone else have the low pressure message when unnecessary? Thanks
It’s possible it’s showing the error because your rear tires are overinflated. Max is 65, assuming you have a 250.
Not necessarily true. Max pressure is based on the tire used and the GVWR of the truck. My '25 F250 came with 275/65R18E tires and the door sticker shows max load at 75psi cold. My '17 F250 came with 275/70R18E tires at 65psi cold. 75psi cold can easily become 80psi+, with no errors, in 100deg+ temps.
Looked more closely at the TPMS display & noticed the pressure levels were reversed, around 60 psi in the rear & 80 psi in front! The dealership changed my oil recently & rotated the tires without changing the pressure. My F350 door sticker calls for 80 rear, 60 front.
There is another possibility… They set tire pressure correctly after rotating the tires but didn’t reprogram the tpms sensor locations. You’ll know as soon as you check the pressure.
