Hey everyone. I need to send a file to my friend that is 650mb. I tried to do it on aim and it said it was too large. Then I tried to attach it to an email but it was too large that way also, all i have is an hotmail account so it didnt work. How could I send it? I have a cable and he has a T1 connection. Please help, I need help as soon as possible. THanks!
just go get an FTP server software (get one that sets itself up they do exsist) and then give him your IP address, and have him FTP into your machine and get it.
you can try this http://www.mirc.com/
I havn't used it enough to know exact details about it. I had sent 2 video files to someone using this. They were both about 700mb a piece.
If you have XP, it has ftp in it that you just need to set up.
edit: I have to correct myself. It was one file about 1400mb. It was originally 2 clips but I redid the clip to one for the person I sent it to.

anyone else have any thing... i tried to upload it to a file2.com and it worked then when my friend tried to download it it wasnt the whoel file. it was only 82mb of it... thanks.
The file is only 650 mb? Do you have Microsoft outlook set up? You should be able to send the file through there...but you SHOULD be able to send 650mb any way you want. The usual size limitations on emails are about 1200mb. You should check your settings and have your friend check his...because even if you have the capability to send it, if he can't receive it, you will still get that message.
It may be his ISP not allowing him to send that much in his email tho
get a FTP or burn a copy on CD and send it to him
Also, if you zipped the file, it should have gotten smaller, not bigger
