We bought a Pentax digital and it comes with ACDsee software. Problem is, I can only e-mail to some addresses. It works fine on my brothers computer running "XP" but won't on mine with "Me". I've contacted the software company for support and their response is that it is not their problem since it will send to the some addresses. Doesn't help me though!! I am not using a firewall, btw. Anyone else out there with something similar happening? Or, is there another software package I could get and use? I can just attatch a photo to an e-mail from my hard drive but then they're huge for sending (dial-up) and the programs like ACDsee automatically resize and compress for e-mail which is very convenient. Any thoughts??
Thanks in advance.

I agree about ME - it may be worth the $75 or so for XP (and get XP Pro ifu can !)
Doesn't help you right now, but will in the future...
I'd tell them "Thank you very much" and here's your camera back...
I'll spend my money on the competitors that want to help me...
(Another thing I've found... if you get an arrogant incompetent on a help line... just hang up after telling them they are not helping (so their mgr will hear the recording) and call right back...
MANY, MANY times this ole impatient guy does that and gets the help he expects
you can pick up a copy of Adobe Photshop Elements 2 or 3. You then can crop, edit, resize, adjust, etc. your pictures.
or if you go the return the camera route, Canon has a real simpole straight forward software package with there cameras that does the resize/ compress (adjustable) for email.
Like above, upgrade your OS to XP, XP Pro is a plus if you have a home network.
Also some IPs block jpegs, gifs, etc... so I would zip them which might help as well.
Or you could just use a free picture hosting site and send the people the link.
Thiis may or may not help, but my norton antivirus used to screw up my kodak digital all the time, it took me a month to figure out what the problem was, even yelled at kodak lol finaly one day i had turned it off by accident and poof the software started working like normal. i acualy sent the info to kodak and now they are working on a fix and a note to norton users.
