E4OD help
So I’ve got a 1997 cclb dually 7.3 with the E4OD and go figure it’s always had transmission quirks. I’m going on my third new trans granted the last two weren’t the best quality and I’ve got a TS6 tuner that eats them up. I’ll save you all the boring details of what I’ve done and how it’s acting now, my question is regarding the neutral safety switch. As a last ditch effort to save this trans I’m replacing it and also my third brake light that I LED swapped (oops) and the plug is bad causing a bad connection and flickering. Anyways I currently have the 8 pin connector on the range selector but have seen that the 97 switched to the 11 pin. Part of me remembers swapping the plug to the 8 pin years ago before I knew better but I can’t quite remember. Should my truck have the 11 pin and does it even make a difference? Only reason this came up is because after sitting for a week the truck wouldn’t start in park, only in neutral and it’s never done that. Just want to verify what plug I need before ordering the part
