FX4 suspension
I bougth a 99 F150 (used) with the FX4 package. I'm trying to find out exactly what the FX4 package consists of. I am not happy with the ride - too stiff - can I put on softer shocks or is it really built into the springs? thanks

Hi and welcome to FTE 
I don't think that the FX4 was available in 99. You may have the OffRoad package. The FX4 package includes Rancho shocks. The OffRoad package has stiffer heavy duty shocks, skid plates and 17" wheels.
You can put standard shocks on it and it should reduce the stiffness.
