question about trim packages
so me and a friend were discussing our trucks tonight. he has an 04 f150 lariat and i told him that mine was a 2002 f150 supercrew lariat fx4 and we got to thinking about it and came to the conclusion that fx4 and lariat are two different trim packages, so can someone please explain to me how mine is an fx4 lariat?

XLT only cloth, Lariat only leather. FX4 can be either.
It's mostly a look difference. The FX4 will have it's own wheel options in a couple of sizes. They will have painted bumpers as well. Typically single toned and matched to the color of the vehicle.
FX4 can only get heated seats as an option.

You're right about not seeing many around. When I was in the market looking for a truck, it took me about 7 months to find a SCREW with both of these packages. I had to travel about 150 miles to buy the one I currently own. It had a couple of minor issues (heated seat not working and bad shocks) but I grabbed it because it was so hard to find.

ya i love it! its definatly an upgrade from a 97 4.6l extended cab. i wish i had the heated seats but i think i might be adding some when i replace the seat covers the driver side seat cover is in bad shape.
