Well darn, after 11 years and 135,000 miles I finally have an oil leak. Found a small drop on my shop floor. I got my old bones mostly under the truck and it appears the leak is coming from the front of the engine, dropping onto the front of the oil pan and so far coating about a foot of the pan. I guess the first step is to do some kind of CCV mod. But first I would ask what some of y'all think.
Agreed with above. Very common for the vaccum pump seal from loose bolts. If it’s on the front would definitely check those and put some locktite on them while you’re at it.
I only hope Im that lucky. I got under and cleaned everything I could. There really wasn’t a lot of oil. I cannot see much from the bottom. I did manage to find one bolt and got a wrench on it. It was very tight and no signs of a leak near. That is all I can see from below. Watched a video on it last night. Guy took it off and replaced what looked like a perfect gasket. He found two very loose bolts. He worked from the top. Maybe I can get everything out of the way and take a look tonight. Thanks again.
When I had my 2016 6.7 my leak was on the left front of the engine. it turned out to be the upper oil pan leak. The first time they didn’t evidently fix it right and it was back
10,000 miles later for a second repair. After it was fixed the second time I didn’t have any more trouble.
Agree with the above, had it happen on my 2015 last March. I have read that most found that the bolts backed off and if you can tighten the bolts it will stop the leak. I bit the bullet and just replaced the gasket and bolts. There are several youtubes for the 11-16's on repair. I went ahead and took it to the Ford House, they had it done in less than an afternoon.
went after it this PM. I had checked the bottom pump bolt from the bottom and found it tight and dry. First I let the truck idle for a while and removed the oil cap to check pressure, found none. I actually was able to reach two of the pump bolts without removing the air box. Both were very loose I tightened them and removed the airbox to get at the forth. It was tight and dry. So, I'm not sure. There was oil residue near the top and back of the pump but not a lot. When finished, I idled the truck for about ten minutes. There was some leaking at first but I thought that might be left over. I moved the cardboard and gave it about another 5 minutes which produced some oil but not as much so I am hopeful. Tomorrow I will exercise it and see what happens. I will report back for anyone who might be having the same problem. Also, FWIW, I checked the oil and is full and I'm at 5000 miles on my last oil change so it hasn't been leaking long.
Dont think by just tightening the bolts it will stop leaking. Once the oil has made a path past the gasket it may and typically will still leak. I highly recommend getting a new seal, degrease the area and then check for leaks.

Yes sir, that is the correct repair, I agree. I knew that when I began but at 82 I felt it best to follow a different path. Removing and reinstalling the air box and tightening those two bolts was about all the wrenching I have left in me. Lol. As of now the leak appears to have stopped. I ran the truck hard this morning with no leak. If it returns I will remove the bolts and reinstall using thread lock. If it returns after that and I’m still upright I will have someone else do it right. I have no interest is taking on the belt and fan assembly. A mans gotta know his limitations. Lol
