Oil Leak?

Me and my dad have been looking at a really nice 1995 f350 7.3l Powerstroke thats for sale by our house. The only problem is it has an oil leak. My dad thinks its coming from the rear main but my uncle thinks its coming from what he calls the "valley." Not sure where the "valley" is.
Anybody have any idea about oil leaks and where the most common place for the leak is? Also since its miles are below 100k would it still be under warranty?
Thanks in advance

Your uncle is likely right, the engine valley has many places that can and will leak oil. It shows up looking like a rear main leak (rare). A fuel leak in the valley will also look like an oil leak too,...smell it. Any of them can be repaired. IF you get the truck come back here for some help...we'll help you spend your $$ on mods too...it's called PMS. Powerstroke Mod Syndrome. The only cure is a lighter wallet but you get a permanent smile
Be sure to take a good look at the oil pan. If the pan needs repair the engine needs to darn near come out of the truck. Good bargaining point though.

Thanks guys. So I guess its not the rear main which is good because then everything else shouldnt be as hard to fix. Hopefully we get it, its a really nice truck. About the mods(PMS) I will definatly want to do some but thats if I get it.
