Hello,
I have a 2009 Itasca Impluse Class C motor home (31C) with a Ford Triton V10 E450 Engine. Just got a P0171 and P0174 check light. Found out that the air filter was chewed out so more air was flowing into the engine. I replaced it yesterday, cleared the codes, and drove for about a mile and the "Check Engine" light with the same codes came back on.
Looking for a good mechanic to check it out in Folsom or Sacramento, CA.
The codes P0171 and P0174 indicate that the engine is running too lean (meaning too much air and not enough fuel) on bank 1 (P0171) and bank 2 (P0174) respectively, according to AutoZone.com. These codes are triggered by the upstream oxygen sensors
