1988 power window problems, left me stuck.
I can't secure the truck.
I get home and tear it down and look for a new motor/regulator setup and all the sudden, after grinding out the rivets, the motor works again. I cleaned, lubed and put it back in.
------------
Here's the issue, I _THINK_ the problem was in the stopper. The peg that prevents it from going to far, seems to have wedged the regulator so that the motor couldn't move it.
I don't want to get stuck with this PITA problem again.
Has anyone else had this problem where the stopper peg caused the window to lock in place?
Is this one of those "known" issues that wasn't known to me?

BTW, A quick tip: I used an Irwin Quick Grip clamp to hold the glass in place. One place was about 1/2 up and that as just to claim the glass, the real trick was to use one end of the clamp to go UNDER the glass between the door and the glass and wedge it against the door top on the inside, it's adjustable too. Works great, hope it helps.
